D'Souza Ranch · Vanderwagen, New Mexico

The horses do not care about your title — and they will tell you the truth anyway.

327 acres of high desert built for two purposes: executive retreats that reset how leaders make decisions, and a non-profit equine therapy division serving people recovering from traumatic brain injury and combat service.

The ranch

Somewhere the work can actually land.

Most executive offsites are a conference room with a different postcode. This is a working ranch — you will be outside, on uneven ground, doing something with your hands before the first conversation about revenue.

Executive leadership retreats

Three days, eight people, no screens. Mornings on the ground with the horses, afternoons on the business. Leaders leave with a decision they had been avoiding for months.

02

Polo, riding & horsemanship

A working polo string and desert trails. Horsemanship is not a novelty here — it is the fastest diagnostic we have for how a person leads under pressure.

03

Physical groundedness

327 acres of high desert at 6,900 feet, deliberately far from the tech overload. Fire, altitude, weather and animals restore a nervous system that has been running on notifications.

Non-profit division

Equine-assisted therapy for the people who carry the most

The same herd that works with executives on Thursday works with veterans and TBI patients on Friday. Sessions are delivered alongside licensed clinicians and referring providers, and participant places are funded through sponsorship and grants rather than billed to families.

Equine-assisted services are complementary programs. They support clinical care; they do not replace it.

Traumatic brain injury

Structured equine-assisted sessions supporting balance, proprioception, emotional regulation and confidence for people living with TBI.

Veteran recovery

Programs for veterans carrying post-traumatic stress, built around groundwork, routine and the honest, non-verbal feedback a horse provides.

Mental health & resilience

Equine-assisted work for anxiety, grief and burnout — delivered in partnership with licensed clinicians rather than in place of them.

Corporate sponsorship

Underwrite a cohort of veterans or TBI participants for a season. Sponsors receive impact reporting and an on-ranch day with their team.

Non-profit partnership

Referral pathways with VA services, rehabilitation providers and community mental-health organisations across New Mexico and Arizona.

Grant-funded clinical inquiry

Open to research collaboration and grant-funded outcome studies with universities and clinical teams. Data collection protocols available on request.
