Jay Abraham (www.abraham.com) talks about how it is super important to leverage the relationships you have because it is too costly, too time consuming, too hard to act alone trying to do things by yourself.
Once you are clear about what your are committed to accomplishing – it is wise and power to leverage the collective resources you have access to; which is simply other peoples ….
- infrastructure
- distribution
- goodwill
- brand currency, etc;
Let me ask you a question; Is your thinking diluted; with a delusional fallacy in thinking; which is very common amongst people. It goes like this …
- Do you think you have to do what ever you are committed to doing, …alone?
- Do you think you need to grow in logical small steps? or
- That you have to re-invest all your earning into your business, resulting in a not so comfortable life?
- Do you believe that you have no alternative but to suffer, and only when you do this for a long time, will you earn the right to be successful?
Well, let me tell you; this my friends is totally crazy. It is time, you took a hard look at the relationships you have and make powerful assessments to see what valuable resources you have access to. Take stock, make a list of who you know and what the degree of seperation is? How well do you know them? and … Go build more relationships.
My friend, Bob Beaudine who wrote the book “The Power of Who” says it well – you know everyone you ever need to know already! to live a totally successful life. He and the people in his company have a real interesting practice. Every Friday – from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. they do no work in particular; except pick up the phone and personally call the top 100 people that are close to them. Just to check in and see how they can add value to their lives. Many great things have come out of this one single practice.
Have a fantastic week and start enhancing and leveraging the Relationship Capital you already have.
